Insight in energy usage

In 2015, the Dutch government started with the installation of smart gas- and electricity meters in every dutch household. The main problem with these meters is the fact that they are only beneficial when the energy usage data is requested and displayed to the households. Together with SlimWonen, Miyagi developed and designed a complete solution.

Solution

Aggregate energy usage data

To solve the problem of requesting the energy usage data from the smart gas- and electricity meters, Miyagi designed and developed a cloud-based virtual server that requests and aggregates energy usage data from the Dutch Energy Data Services.

By logically structuring the incoming data, manipulating this data could be done swiftly and efficiently.

Multi platform interfaces

Miyagi designed and created a beautiful, scalable, cloud-based mobile application that is compatible with both iOS and Android, which not only could visualize the usage data but also contains many functions that would encourage households to be more sustainable.

We also provided SlimWonen with an internal dashboard that enables them to manage the mobile application and its users, manage content, and send and receive (push) notifications.

Miyagi designed and built multiple custom made analytics dashboards to provide SlimWonen insights into how the mobile application is performing and how the users interact with the application.

By gaining insight into the performance of the app, SlimWonen is able to make efficient decisions and improve the User Experience.
